I think you're right, the 600 should be fine...I've been following Fastryker for tuning updates and think it would get better.
Per their website - With this tune, you will experience the following:
Increased acceleration
Increased throttle response & less throttle lag
Moderate changes to normal mode
Higher RPM limit
increased fuel efficiency in cruising RPM's
Access to maps as we upgrade. (working on removing traction control, possibly adding sport mode)
