I installed my top case yesterday. My wife and I bought 2 600cc ryker's. I bought a large top case to hold 2 full face helmets. It is a Shad 45 L. It came with the base plate. We had to put a little thought into it but we got the base plate installed. It is very solid on the Maxmount.. Attached are some photo's. I thought it was going to big but it is not. I think it looks good!!!

Graysonway, that looks good! I am thinking a Shad case also but a smaller case. The case is quick release right? Also, can it be removed if case is locked? Just dont want it to be stolen.

This top case is large but to me it doesn't over power the bike. I think the Ryker and the SHAD case fit well. I wouldn't want one any bigger. This case is a quick release. When the case is locked the lid can not be opened and the case can not be removed.

I would be interested in the detachable base plate you made. It almost looks like you cannibalized a Linq case.

I bought the same box..I'd like to see how you mounted yours

IMHO, the OEM top case and Linq mounting system are borderline worthless. I mounted a Shad SH-29 directly to the "max mount" using a drill and some stainless steel fasteners. If my wife ever decides to sell her Ryker, we can easily remove the Shad top case and cover the small holes with an optional "max mount trim plate" that BRP sells. Optionally, some rubber grommets would work well too...

Pictures of the sh-29 mounted?????
