Wondering if anyone has installed the Innov K2 dashcam on their RT/L. Been looking at doing so and wanted to get some feedback. If so could you summarize how the install was? Where did you located the cameras and components etcs. ??
I ordered this on Friday and getting it today. Excited to get it installed!
Yes as mentioned, would love a review and/or how you installed it. If at all possible a video or images of install would be awesome. Yes there are plenty of them on YouTube but none that are on a Spyder. You’d be be doing a great service to be one of the first to do so and document it for us.
I’d do it myself but my RTL is still in a create on a truck
I have the older Innovv K1 system on my '15 RTL. I mounted the front camera at the center of the base of the windshield and the rear camera to the left rear license plate bolt with the supplied brackets. The recorder module I have in the left side case just mounted to the forward wall with velcro. System works great.

Did you need any extra length with supplied wires for the cameras? Did you drill a hole inside the left side case (assume you meant saddle bag?) ? Can you add a few pics of cam placement and how you mounted it please and thank you.
I have this system on my 2010 Kawasaki Voyager and it works great. Just PULLED THE TRIGGER on a 2015 RTL and am thinking I might get the same again and mount the monitor in the trunk and run the long rear camera to the front from the trunk. This way, I think, I can get power from the accessory plug in the trunk without having to fiddle with the battery in the frunk. AND, I only have to run the camera cable to the front. What do ya think? (Yeah ... I know ... it's Chinese.) AND it's $239. The K2 is $339.

Never mind Area51. Worry about the other 50, or more!

Thanks
Any thought on the Blueskysea Dv688? Did you pick the K2 over the 688, if so why? Im looking in to dashcams and these seem to be the most sought after cams.

Still have not purchased my setup yet. After much research the K2 really seemed to been the favorite of a lot of 2 wheel riders. The 688 didn’t really return much reviews during my research.

Sorry to take so long to respond. I had enough cable to install as you see in my photos. Did drill a hole in the left sidecase, popped in a rubber grommet to prevent chafing. I even installed to "panic button" on the left handlebar. The button marks the current file to not be overwritten.

That’s awesome. What are your thoughts on the system so far? I’m assuming you have it wired to power on with the key? How much footage can you realistically record before it overwrites? Thanks for the pics BIG help!!
I had a problem with power using a "key on" power source. I solved that by only powering it when the engine is running. I think it was sensitive to the voltage drop when the starter engaged. I used the "unused" F8 power position in the RFB using an "Add-A-Circuit". Now that circuit is only powered through the load shed relay. Works great.
