Default My solution for larger top case with passenger seat

Bracket is made from 1.5"x1.5"x1/8" aluminum and attached to the bottom of the MAX Mount utilizing the existing 4 unused attachment points. The Top Case is this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Brain dead simple... thanks for sharing .

Any pics with it sitting outside? Would like to see how it looks with that case hanging so far behind... hard to see in these pictures.
    Side-view please .

One thing I'm monitoring is how close the bracket comes to the fender with a passenger.

Great job, looks fantastic. Did you make the washers or buy something?

How is it with case loaded and passenger ? Does it sag down much?
What length did you make the alum angle?

    1. With just helmets and a jacket in the case there is no sagging.
    2. Haven't had a passenger yet.
    3. Brackets are 22.5 inches long.

Since it's home made it will work with what ever you make it for.

To quote Robert Burns "The best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry". Here is a picture of the distance between the bracket and fender with me seated on the bike (130 lbs) and a neighbor (100 lbs). Much to close, so back to Home Depot to figure out something else.

I really wouldn't be comfortable making a bracket for someone else. Sorry.
In any case the current bracket isn't going to work out. See my latest post with picture.

You could put a stiffer rear spring and or stiffer adj. shock. cueman

You might want to try box tubing. Might be able to go with a smaller diameter

I was looking at that at Home Depot as well shelving hardware which is "[" shape, but a heat steel.

I'm considering that too. Hoping LaMonster Garage offers their rear rack soon.

Wider. If the rack is wider than the fender, you gain more clearance. There should be a way to see where the shock bottoms out. Then build the rack above that. Just a thought. Great job. Joe

If you are using the stock spring 2 up that sag is waaaaay too much. Probably why Can An sells the 2 up spring.
