My HID's are approved for onroad use, the sway bar is simply thicker, and the exhausts and intakes just don't meet air quality regs.
With something as important as brake lights and turn signals, I would lean towards wanting DOT approved items.

Try the link below for where you can get the LED lights. Just have to wait for then to get more instock.

You may also want to do a google search on LI-1157RCZ and also Pilot Automotive.

most aftermarket led turnsignals are not DOT approved, Who gives an F? if they are brighter then they are better. you will get stopped for a having pulsing headlights on your bike but they are LEGAL, most of the riders I know that use them have the statue with them so less informed L E can see that.

My concern about them not being DOT approved would be that they may be of inferior quality.

Question, do you know if having a rear brake light flash is legal or not.

It's a state issue.
Number One: 2008 Yellow GS SM5. I love my Spyder.
Number Two: 2012 RT-S Limited (the poop colored RT) I still have Number One, but Some Girl made me buy Number Two...

I doubt it's a big problem. Mine flash--- when the turn signal is on.

I saw another spyder doing that at the event. Brake light blinking alternately with signal light and was wondering if that's how it supposed to be.
Anywho, it's been 800 miles since the bulb change and still no problem

i have replaced front markers on the fenders with white led and that was not a problem

ones i got from pepboys are pretty bright and in 8000k color but somewhat directional.
i will try to get the part number.
but since spyder does not care about them lights, i think you can pretty much put anything you can find in place of stock bulbs. there are plenty of options available for 194 replacement. even pepboys have them in white, amber and alternating in 7 colors

I wouldn't get them - tried them and they were DULL compared to some regular Amber bulbs I installed.
I have some from that e-bay guy on order (star rotors) for $7.00 - will let you know how they work.
