Default What would you change on the Ryker?

It's already good the way it is. But there are things I would like to do to suit me better.

Make it feel more like an F1 car. Lower the seat height and suspension.
Trim the height and slim the upper part where the handlebars are. I would be willing to give up the glove box to have a closer view of the road.
Gearing that focuses on maximum acceleration from 0-30.
    Another 10hp
    Wider rear tire.

The only thing I have really found to complain about is it needs more power (another 20-40 hp). I've only ridden the Rally 40 miles though. We'll see what I have to say after a few thousand

It's funny you guys talk about it being loud. I didn't notice that. I do snowmobile a lot however so maybe I'm just used to it? I thought it was a lot quieter than my RS.

Lower the noisiness level. It is like riding a jetski with the seat off.

Still haven't ridden one but initial observation was the bodywork has about ten different shades of black and in the right light you can see the swirly mould pattern marks.Very cheap looking to me,stand back a bit or in low light it looks great but up close in bright sun bit of a letdown.

Ride one....then complain. As for cheap, yes they are; about half of a F3 and that's why I'm getting mine. It's probably like a body man friend of mine told me about his restorations: "Twenty footers. Any closer and you can see the flaws." But from 20' they were gorgeous!

Couldn't agree more, Cueman... The clunky drivetrain is the biggest detractor in my opinion. Not sure all bikes are as loose as mine but I hear/feel that huge clunk taking off from a dead stop or coming out of reverse. Fortunately, I don't seem to be cursed with the poor alignment issue that others have had. Plenty quick for me and after rotating the handlebars to get a comfortable cruising position, adding floorboards, lumbar support, GPS, bigger windshield, foam grips, a set of higher level mirrors, crampbuster, undercarriage lights, gel pad, etc.... I really love it for how I ride two-up. Someday a F3 Limited will be in my garage but for now, it works well for us.

I feel the same about all Spyders, the nose needs to be refined. The Ryker has been the model I like best simplicity wise, but I don't like cruiser seating. The GS/RS/RSS is my prefered model for that reason, so mainly with the Ryker I would raise the seat 8-10 inches, new subframe for sportbike rearsets and switch to hand brake so my feet just dance on the pegs.
In the twisties I was playing the tart...

I wouldn't want to have to pay for a Manual.

Would be like when they used to give free maps at gas stations, but then you had to start to PAY for them.

Or like when they used to always give free air for your tires, then you had to start paying for it.

Maybe it's because I don't have the hand guards, but I really don't like the extra gap between the grips and the bar end.

Otherwise, I'm happy with this as my first uncaged ride.

User interface. One of these days I'll get the clock figured out, but to be frank I'm riding to lose track of time anyway. Cruise! Lower RPM travel/better fuel economy. More ground clearance.
