Default what size non kenda 14 inch tire fits a 09 gs

yeah i know another damn tire question.i have searched but most info seems to be 15inch info.so standard is 165/65/14.by using the tire comparision app a 185/60/14 seems to come closest to the oem size.will a 185/60/14 fit under the gaurds or is there some mods required.the 185/60/14 is 7.3 inches in width compared to 6.5 for oem.will the gaurds take that.diameter is 22.7 for the 185/60/14 compared to 22.4 for oem so should be ok there. i dont want to know which is best and start a fight, just size that fit. thanks for any help.

We normally recommend and install the Bridgestone Potenza in the OEM size. Great tire for the 14 inch wheels. Lots of happy customers with these tires.

If you would be so kind ….. Exactly which " Potenza " are you suggesting …… Bridgestone makes approx. 50 different car tires and about 30 of them start with " Potenza " …… Thanks …. Mike

Bridgestone Potenza RE92. Its the only one available in size 165/65R14. Pretty easy to find. These have been in use and recommended for the early Spyders for many years now. We used to stock them but stopped as we just do not replace the 14" tires much any more. Order them in when needed but they are always in stock in the local Texas warehouse. I can get them in a day or so.
