Having aortic valve replaced
Thursday morning I'm having my aortic valve replaced. Having the TAVR procedure just like Mick Jagger. Won't be able to ryde for 2-4 weeks, haven't started ryding this season yet ,been too weak. This should make me feel stronger than I have in a while. Keep me in your thoughts.
I'll let you know how it turns out.

Praying for you. Please have faith, stop worrying
2:02 am posting makes me wonder if you're having difficulties resting?
A little peace of mind, I had a dissecting aortic aneurysm in 2004 and Mechanical heart valve replacement.

I had mine done two years ago. Originally they were going to do the TAVR, but found out I was no a good candidate for it, so the did it the hard way, through my chest. After a three month recovery, I feel great. Going to be 70 soon and feel like I'm 30. Stay positive, you'll do fine.

Saw a cardiologist just yesterday and my heartbeat is all over the map - fast, slow, stopped. I'm getting a pace maker installed. All of this heart problem stuff wouldn't have something to do with having a Spyder, would it?

Prayers from Wisconsin for a safe surgery and full recovery!

Bob: best of luck in your surgery tomorrow. Make sure they give you the good meds!
Ricz: I think the Spyder would be good to prevent heart problems. You know - happiness is the best medicine. I'm a nurse, I know. (I also have heart issues, luckily controlled with pills.

Wishing you the best! I have a friend who got a heart transplant and he went back to riding soon as he recovered from the operation.

From one RN named Bob to another, I hope all goes well. I've never had any cardiac surgery, though I've had my share of joint replacements.
I wasn't familiar with what the TAVR procedure was, so I googled it, and that explains the relatively short recovery time. Still a major surgery, so take all the time you need to recoup. Plenty of time to get out and ride when you do.
Good luck
