Question 2018 RT Limited. How to keep the rubber antenna gasket in place?

    Hi all,

The rubber gasket around the base of the antenna is constantly popping out which can allow water intrusion. It is very difficult to to get it to stay in place and I don't want to glue it.

Anyone have this issue or a fix for the problem?

    Thanks, Richard

Your '18 has a shorty antenna, correct? If so, consider spraying the boot, I would call it, with some silicone and reinsert it ensuring you get the whole lower lip to seat beneath the Tupperware.

    otherwise be a vulgar brawl.

When I first got my 2014 RTL, the rubber boot kept coming loose and I kept putting it back in. I was not getting it fully seated. Finally got it right and it has not come out in 2 years..... Jim

OK - just to resurrect this thread ->

Does anyone have a part number for the antenna rubber boot on a 2018 RTL?

I've seen another thread that mentioned a part number, but that was for a 2011 - and I can't seem to find it in any 2018 parts diagram.
