    Did this bike, 2015 Can-Am Spyder ST Limited, come with the 998 engine ??

    Yes, I believe that was the last year. No ST models come with the 3 cyl 1330 engine.

    You are correct on the engine. But They did do a ST model in 2016. That was the last year.

    There's quite the resale value difference between Spyders with and without the 998 engine (favoring the new 1330). In many cases 3 or 4 grand more money to be in a 1330cc used Spyer, which for me makes no sense when I can just buy a new leftover model.

    I'm strugging between the two engines. I know I'd prefrer the newer engine and to save some money and buy used, but the used market pushes you to a new Spyder.

    I had a 2014 ST limited. They have very strong engines that love to rev high! The V twin also has a better sound than the triple. I loved my ST. On the down side they require more maintenance and use oil, about a quart or more in between each 3000 mile service. To check the oil you have to remove the side panel and it is a pain to line up and put back. I do not miss any of that and am loving the ease of maintenance on my new F3 Limited.

    For me, there's no struggle - I'm only looking at 2014+ RTs.

    I have a 2015 sts w/ 998 love it has power - no problems have 13k on it never taken it to dealer run 10-40 mobil 1 t4 oil all good.
