Default Anyone researching a turbo Ryker?

I know Can Am has a turbo they are using in another application for the 900. We have some real master mechanics on this forum. Are any looking into this?

Just my opinion but the rear wheel is easy to spin now. Double the hp and you couldn't use most of that extra power anyway.

It's not the same engine. The turbo 900 is a much more robust version, i.e. pistons, heads, and crank. Same displacement but a different engine to accommodate the boost, heat, etc. The snowmobile application goes from 90 hp to 150 hp with the noted changes.

You sure could at higher speeds and improve the top end where the Ryker is lacking.

Plus, people have done wider tires in stickier compounds already.

The Ryker absolutely could use a turbo.

Maybe BRP will come out with a turbo model for those that need it. I'm just saying that since I am usually going 15 to 25 mph I have all the power I need.

We went through the same thing when the 08/RS came out. A couple nice people on here blew up their engines trying to turboize them.

Considering the Ryker was introduced to accommodate a lower price point, having a model with a turbo + the added infrastructure needed to make it safe IMO would be non starter...

Nothing to research. BRP already has a turbo version of the 900 ACE. They just need to add it to the Ryker as another option. To me this seems like an easy decision but knowing BRP it will never happen?

I think we are fortunate that BRP turned down the Nanny on the Ryker muchness asking for a Turbo......

If it sells well you would think more models would be introduced especially a turbo version considering they already have the motor.

If they don't someone else will capitalize on it as it seems the three wheel thing is catching on.
