Nice YouTube vid on glove box and how it locks!

It's nice to see that Can Am had the forethought to make designs for both the gas cover and the trunk lock-able by using one mechanism. It could be that they just didn't have time to finish the locking mechanism...OR....they opted to leave it like that and make it an add-on.
Either way is fine by me. I'm just happy that they thought about it while in the design phase.

I wish they would just announce an official add on, because I would buy it.

Still needs hazard lights along with fork & parking brake lock, Not as after thoughts. Have seen the P-brake from vendors, still looks easily defeated, as light & small as the Ryker is wouldn't be much effort for some crook to roll it off.

I look forward to seeing what Quasimotard rigs up to make use of that lock.

Came across it last night. Good find by Quasi. Hopefully MkII will have all these little niceties included and/or come out as addons.

In Australia we get the hazard lights and park lock standard

Not waiting for Quasimotarded to come up with something, I've sourced a solenoid. I removed it from my FJR when I got it, was used to keep the (even smaller) glovelet box locked with key on. It 'pulls' so I have to come up with a connector to fasten the bolt to the gizzmo on the Ryker latch. Shouldn't be too difficult.

Design in progress.....but I REALLY NEED my Rally to make it work! Date is now May 3, 25 days; but who is counting?
So far I've decided that the solenoid will push the 'locking lever' closed with power off and retract to open it with power on. Mating the solenoid to the lever will be the biggest issue but I'm pretty good at fabricating solutions from left over parts (heaven knows I have enough of those!) And I'll need to source a hot lead but not sure how the RFI 'key' is going to affect that. Anyone found a 'keyed' source for power up front somewhere?

What about the feed to the instrument panel - is that switched? Might have to add a relay.

Try the accessory port on the left side under the colored panel.

That's what I'm looking for ! I think....if it is switched. I'm just not sure how accessories 'hook into' the CANbus wiring system. I'm thinking I'll get a universal fuse block, pull 12V from the battery and then run any/all farkles from that. Good ones give an option of switched or unswitched/live.

Yes, EB is one of the best. There are others as well
https://www.twistedthrottle.com/dena...or-motorcycles
I've also used Blue Sea but I don't think they offer switching options like EB and Denali.
The only issue I see with EB is that they don't mention CANbus compatibility. Oops, I just found it: A protective diode can be ordered inline on the ignition switched lead, preventing reverse EMF flow back to the bike. This is highly recommended for CANBus bikes.

Unfortunately life got in the way of my project. That and I lost (in my office on the floor.....) the little spring from the solenoid piston! Got the Rally now though and when I get a chance to remove the frunk, I'll get back to the project!
