    Default Clutch

2008 Spyder manual transmission, when the engine gets to operating temp the clutch dies, when the engine cools down then clutch works again? What gives?

If you have a cable, check the slack. If you are hydraulic check the reservoir fluid.

I have a hydraulic clutch, fluid is full, no air in the line. The clutch goes to nothing only when the engine gets hot, then goes back to normal after the engine cools down

Sounds like the problem I had on my 2013 ST.
Change the clutch fluid. Moisture in the fluid can cause this type of problem.
When the engine gets hot the moisture vaporizes in the fluid.
Change the fluid with a good flush. Get all the black out of the reservoir.
Perform a good bleed of the clutch followed by a long ryde.

If the problem still persists you may need to change the O rings in the clutch slave cylinder.

    Good Luck, David C.

    Default What part..?

if we are talking about the clutch lever and it's operating the plates and discs. Agree it's a good place to start .... Check the fluid by removing the cap as the sight glass is not the best way to tell. Mine operated normal but when hot would not go into gear. Pulled the cap and found the reservoir empty. You can also pull the cover to the slave to see if it is leaking...
20170314_122933.jpg if it looks like this replace the o-rings flush the system..

My question is, what do you mean when you say, "when the engine gets to operating temp the clutch dies"? When you pull in on the clutch lever does it do nothing, meaning the clutch doesn't disengage the engine from the transmission. Does it mean that the clutch acts like the clutch lever is pulled in when it isn't, meaning the engine spins but you don't go anywhere?
