    Default ECM problem

Hope someone may have an idea to help me. Just got my ECM back after having it flashed and when I installed it my startup display comes on even though the key is turned off. It displays the startup screen, still while the key is off. When I turn the key to the on position I get the regular display however instead of displaying ‘N’ it displays an ‘E’ and I have no ignition. Have tried disconnecting the battery, checked fuses, checked voltage and all good but still nothing. Anyone have an idea

I'd contact whoever did the flash.

    Default Bummer.....

Usually an E in the N section would indicate gear positioning senor problem. The other issues and this one may be a connection problem or the work done on the ECU. Check with them as there may be some trick to re-installing it....

You might want to if you haven't already, check the plugs that connect to the ECU, might have bent one of the pins when putting it back into your Spyder.
It is not uncommon for a flash to go bad and you may need to send it back to get reprogrammed...

Well here’s the update everyone. According to the dealer when the flash was performed it wiped out the programming for the keys and some sensors including the GBPS so now they are putting all that data back in and reprogramming the keys. Didn’t loose the flash either so I am happy. Riding tomorrow. Yay

Can you tell us where you got this flash done ?

Is anyboby had the same issue after getting a flash on their ECU ?

I'm about to have mine done also. But, my spyder is not near of a dealer at all. I'm kind of afraid to have my spyder towed to a dealer if it ever fall in this situation.
