900 cc Ryker rpm’s
I have a Rally edition Ryker and have noticed that my engine seems to run at what is to me abnormally high rpms at highway speeds. To see if this is normal or if my bike has an issue, can someone tell me what rpm their engine is running at 60 mph?

I checked mine for the same reasons but now I don’t worry about it. It’s the nature of Rally. ✌️ cueman

5200rpm is definitely 55! 60 maybe 5500rpm? Turn Your lower view to RPM and look?

These seem to be high reving machines

Thanks for your responses. I jut came back from another 50 mile jaunt, and I was showing 5600-5700 rpm at 60 mph. It reminds me of my flying days, when I would advance the throttles all the way for take-off—speed would increase but the engine noise remained the same. Have to admit, I wasn’t expecting this with the Ryker, but I will get used to it. Do you suppose that they are using the same CVT for both the 600 and 900 cc engines? I can see the 600 needing to run at higher rpm’s due to its smaller power output. but not the 900.

Ca am is doing you a good thing. There’re keeping the engine in the happy zone. If this engine was lugged at low rpms I have a feeling we would be experiencing many problems. cueman

Thanks. I certainly hope so.

Those high cruising revs may help explain the fuel mileage.
