Extended Warranty
My Extended Warranty is about to expire on my 2015 RTL.
1. Can that warranty be extended and is it worth it?
2. Is the best place to get it from the Dealership where I purchased my RTL?

Depends on when you bought your RTL. If its approaching its 5th year since delivery, no, you cannot extend the BRP Best plan. The other aftermarket plans are not worth the paper written on.

I just got pff the phone with my dealer and since I received some promotional warranties I can still get 2 more years of the Best warranty. $640 one year and $940 for two years. For that price is it worth it?

A you can do better on price.
B No matter what your dealer is telling you, BRP will not issue a contract that has an end date past 60 months from date the bike was placed in service. Seen it a few times, the contract just gets rejected and the purchaser spends months trying to get a refund. Be very careful. Suggest contacting the better known BEST contract sales dealers for a quote. Berts Mega Mall, iMotorsports, Sierra Cycle come to mind and are competitive. 3 yr policies (5 total) usually are under $700.

Buying an extended warranty depends on risk and cost. Certainly that's the "safest" route if you totally fear a major repair.
How many miles do you have on your Spyder already? How many miles do you typically drive in a year or two years? Have you had any previous troubles? Did you get it used and rely on somebody else's previous maintenance (or lack thereof)? Do you feel lucky? LOL
Of course if something big breaks during the extended warranty, that would make the warranty a great deal - but what's the risk of that? Depending on your risk, paying $940 for only two years of protection may not be really a good deal. I heard the DPS costs $1700 to replace, so for example would there be a 50% chance it would fail during the two years? If so the warranty would be a good deal but is it really that likely? What else fails with any frequency that's so expensive? I put 3000-5000 miles a year on my Spyder and haven't had anything go wrong, but I'm still under the original warranty. If things change, I may yet buy the warranty but for those prices, right now I'm feeling like taking my chances.

Read this thread that was just recently discussed: https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/...ended+warranty
This topic comes up quite often - not much has changed in the pricing.
