I have a 49 mile commute one way. I have ridden the Spyder a few times, but its a high price machine. Don't just want to wear it out so fast. So I have a low cost Honda NT700V 2 wheeler. Have been averaging 32,000 miles a year for 9 yrs now. 2018 was total around 34,500. 12,000 miles on Spyder and 22,500 on NT. But I have ridden those miles only on NT before Spyder in Mar '17
2015 Spyder RT Ltd- bUrp - only add the "U", 2010 Honda NT700V-red,2010 Honda NT700V-silver retired @201,111 miles, 1997 Honda PC800, 1996 Honda PC800, Honda CT500, Honda Shadow 500, 1978 Suzuki GS550, 1973 Suzuki TC125, other assorted smaller bikes, Suzuki TM400

Retired now, but when I was working in the brick business, I rarely rode the RT to work. I needed to drive a truck to carry all my tools and for picking up materials.

I will be doing the same here. We still have a lot of snow on ground here also. It will be awhile here also.

I 'll ride my spyder to work after the snow melts, and the roads have no salt on them.

I'm another daily commuter. Like many in warmer climes, my main concern is rain -- during the summer we have a lot of afternoon thunderstorms, so those are days I use the bike as an excuse to skip out a little early and, oh, yeah, "work from home." (Actually, not such a wink wink, nudge nudge kind of thing these days -- I do spend a fair bit of time after hours on work matters which I'm looking forward to dialing back before too much longer.)
I have a pretty short ride, but fortunately a reverse commute so I can crank up the speed a bit for a brief while and clear my head. Don't know that I would enjoy it if I was going bumper-to-bumper for very long.
Regards,
Bret

I do, weather permitting. I got in one riding day last month.

Whenever the weather allows I ride it to work. DFW traffic sucks so have to really watch for the idiots who cut in front of you during rush hour when there's hardly more that a foot between vehicles.

When the weather index is above my wimp threshold, (min 40F in the morning when the sun shines) I ride 'nid to work every day. I guess I should mention work consists mostly of lifting the coffee mug to my lips down at the local coffee shop!!

What is this word ' work'? I am not familiar with this word.

I see what you did there. Retired at 40 (52 now), but I took a part-time job this year to fund some home remodeling projects and what not. I typically work 2-3 days/week manning the office at a storage facility that's a 10-15 minute ride from the house. So it got me to wondering about this, because I see a lot of Spyders on weekends and almost NONE during the business commute hours on weekdays.
