Default BigBikeParts Rear mudflap install issues

Like the look and after I wrapped the chrome part It looks even better BUT following the instructions, I find the 3 tiny Philips screws that go through the back of the black flap and into the chrome part don't quite reach and the space behind the rear fender is very limited and I can't get a normal screw driver on them. Will have to get longer ones with hex head screws so I can get them to reach and so I can use a wrench.

Anyone else install one and any problems?

I also wrapped the chrome part with flat black as I have the All Dark RTL.

I put one on my 2015 RT and found the screws were long enough but a real pain to install just no room between tire and rear flap

    Default For sure....

if having to come in from behind there is very little room. If possible one should lift the rear pull the bottom bolt on the rear shock and drop the rear wheel to get more room otherwise remove the rear panel.

Acually the rear fender comes off fairly easy. You have to first remove the tupperware around the rear trunk and then you can remove the rear fender. Bruce

Put a small wood block tween the tire and flap, use a wood screw to pull the flap in toward the fender, put in side bolts, then remove wood screw and install the center bolt and nut.

90degree screwdriver anyone? Not great for starting screws or bolts but if holes line up it will tighten in some tight spots.

Got the hols to line up then the screws went in and with a little force, I got one started then was able to install to the bike's fender and tighten. Then do the other two screws and the two capped screw/bolts that go through the fender. Looks nice.
