    Default Lamonster Fogs F3T

I just finished installing Lamonster Fog Lights on my 18 F3T. Install went well just like the video. I'm a little concerned about the gap around the lights now. Is this ok? Looks like alot of weather can get in there now. Kit does not come with "boots" to fill this gap. Any solutions?
    Thanks,

Yes, after you remove the plastic factory plugs, there is an ugly gap. See my previous post here:

great info. Thanks! I saw a vid of a guy cutting the hole in the factory plug. measured 2.048 inches. I may try that. gotta figure out how to center the hole. Not much of an engineer!

I put in his fogs plus the ring lights and that combo fills the gap nicely. Adds turn signal as well.

I thought about modifying the plastic, but didn’t trust myself to make it look good. Plus, I wanted the original plugs just in case I removed the aux lights down the road. The outer ring LEDs are a good option too, I’m just not into all the extra LEDs

You can buy the “shields/boots” from BRP to fix the issue.
They have the center open and just bolt in. That is what I
did after installing the Lamonster fog lights. They fixed the
    gap issue.

Functions fine. The gap is not going to do anything bad. How it looks is subjective, and there are many solutions. Those stock covers are pretty cheap, so if you try to drill a hole and it looks awful, new ones are cheap. Go for it!

you will laugh but here is what I did. I took some 1/2 inch thick styrofoam and cut a donut in it. I used the factory plug which was taken out and for comparison diameter measurement I found a coffee cup was the exact outside diameter. Traced it on to the styrofoam. Cut it with sharp scissors leaving it just a bit large for fitment and friction so it would stay in the hole. There is a clip in the hole at the 12:00 position so I cut a small flat spot for top fitment. For the center hole the lid from a large bottle of ibuprofen worked great. I cut it a little small for fitment so as to be snug around the fog light. After final fitment I painted them black ( I thought about some wild color but settled on black. I can make as many as I like if I want a wild color. ) I carefully pressed them in to position and viola! No more gap. Looks like it belongs there.
