Sent my wife’s seat to Seth 2 days ago. Production date is 2/25. (earlier if he has time) Hopefully, this mod will increase the length of our rides, or, at least, make our shorter rides more pleasant for her. Doing black with red stitching which should look nice on her pearl white F3.
Hey folks, Seth Laam is as mentioned before, an artist. My wife and I live about 2 1/2 hours from Seth. We made an appointment to have Seth adjust some aspects of my wife’s seat. I bought her a new F4 Customs windshield for her 2019 F3 LTD after we had already had Seth build a seat for her. This was the smallest windshield for the F3 LTD and it hit my wife like a pair of bifocal glasses. One second she was looking over the shield and the next she was looking through it. Seth took the info my wife was able to impart to him and he took the seat to the next level for her. He was able to do this in an amount of time for him to address one issue I was having. As long as I was riding under 2 hours at a time I was fine. Long distance rides I found would give me some discomfort. Explained this to Seth and he made a suggestion as to what to do. Told him to go for it and the ride home was amazing. If you are looking for a custom seat, Laam Custom Seats is the way to go. www.laamseats.com will get you his site. I highly recommend a Laam Custom Seat, I sold a Russell Day Long after buying a seat from Seth. A true craftsman.

I think Seth Laam might be running behind schedule. I was supposed to hear from him late last week for final build details, as my production date starts today. No word as of yet. Of course it's in the 40/50*s this week/weekend. Appears like a good time to take off the back wheel and install a new tire while the seat is gone...

I’ve had a couple of long discussions with Seth to make sure the seat is modified to our goals. Last night he told me the seat would be shipped out by the end of today. Very pleasant and knowledgeable guy over the phone.
Seth called me this morning to finalize build plan. He called me this afternoon to say the seat was done and sent me photos. Carbon look black vinyl, leather look vinyl sides with black stitching. He moved the seat area back an extra .5" and left the seat height near stock, if not, just a touch lower. Looks awesome !! Should arrive next Wed/Thu

I put a gel pad in my F3L driver seat. Had to cut some foam out. Can seth still build my seat after a hack job.
Why not call him and ask directly. He would be the one to work on it. Tom
Baloo is my name. Spyders are my game. Well, it's a doo-bah-dee-doo, yes, it's a doo-bah-dee-doo, I mean a doo-bee, doo-bee, doo-bee, doo-bee, doo-bee-dee-doo. And, well, now. Ha ha! What have we here?
Talked to Seth last night. Very nice and informative guy. He said he keeps some original foam. Mostly the very bottom that is shaped to the pan. Looking forward to meeting you Troop.

I as well. My seat is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. Did you get a time frame from Seth ? Winter layover is winding down

Wife's seat arrived this AM. Raining here so all she did was sit on it in the garage. First impression: More supportive, narrower in front, sits in seat rather than on seat and pushes her just a little bit closer to controls. Those were all attributes we discussed with Seth, so that's all positive stuff. The real test will be her first actual ride, but after the reviews we saw on this forum (and others), we have no doubt there will be increased comfort. Seth was great to work with and honored the timeline that he promised. We ended up with black stitching because he said the red will fade in time.
Reviving the thread. Spoke to Seth yesterday about doing a seat for us. Very easy going. Loves what he does. I told him what our problems were, and I had an extra seat. He said to send it in. He will fit it in when he can. He's about a month from getting to mine. But if time happens to be available, he will start on mine. It will be for our 2020 RTL. Thinking about doing the "Carbon Fiber" vinyl. Let you know when we get it. Tom

So how do u like the seat so far. I recently bought a mustang seat from a member here an it seems stiffer than I’d like , are the laam seats softer?
Really liking the seat. It is firmer/more supportive than the stock seat. Most aftermarket seats (Mustang/Corbin/Laam/etc) are a bit firmer than stock. The solo Mustang I had on my H-D was certainly stiffer than stock. Heck, Corbin's are rock hard compared to stock. Take it for a long ride and see how it feels. Might be just a matter of getting used to it.

I love mine. Like Troop said firmer than stock but not hard and mine is breaking in good after about 500 miles on it. My daylong on my previous RTS was firmer than the Laam seat. But still was a good seat. I like my Laam better.
