Maybe something like this. It would be good to have a higher stop light.

Only question would be - would the mounts be happy with more weight that far back given the Max Mount itself is kind of "floating" already. I'm sure it would be fine without a passenger, but with I may start to get concerned (depending on the load in the case of course).

    Just food for thought.

I use for my 900 this here - black painted lid / backrest / to close with a key !! / and the possibility for LED stoplight on the back / 31 Liter ..
& just get a U-formed aluminium plate over the max-Mount to make it longer .. very easy solution - should be finished next week ..
the passenger seat will be a flat GEL-cushion wider than the original ..
BUT !! seems that we are more a lightly weighty couple

Is that a Peugeot Scooter Top Case?

Also, where would you "just get a U-formed aluminum plate" ?

the plate is made from a metall company here - yes a"scooter" case - here is another (French) idea to fix a topcase behind the passenger but I`m not shure if that ist strong enough but very "elegant" ..

That is what I have in mind. Does Can AM sell that mount? All I have seen is the top case that replaces the passenger seat.

All of this is approaching a Spyder... if you wish to tour two-up that may be a better option?

did more tan 62.000 kms on "Spyders" .. now I love the drive-shaft !!! and the CVT gearbox - together thats 100% more for touring here in the Alps than any of the old Modells - the power and the speed is OK for me

Did you fashion the back plate where the case sits yourself? I am note a mechanic, so would you post a step by step "how to"? Also, where did you get that great windscreen?

First - if you want to install a "better" shield, you have to cut the lid of the glovebox - without that its not possible to fix it in good looking and aerodynamic way & if it is fixed too high looks "crazy" .. the shield is only fixed on the handlebars (5minutes)
so I cutted it - made a rubber-seal (from a window) and now waiting for a "Lock" system from SHAD - only one key for the glovebax and the side case ..
I use this smaller PUIG in the moment .. but you could then also use also the wider ones ..

    https://puig.tv/en/tuning-motos/care...ield-upampdown

the new Aluminium plate for a topcase (mine one is from a peugeot-scooter) is lying "over" the maxmount and makes it 12 Inch "longer it has the "form" of the max-mount and should be fixed with screws to a second plate under the max-mount- I wanted a case with a backrest and a black paintet lid (triple-black-ryky), also some Red Lines on it (maybe with LEDs on the End) - you could use also a SHAD if you want..
Direkt on the plate with the caseholder is now the seat-pad - as low as possible - she does not want to seat so much higher than me.
.. ordered now black metal handlebars from a KTM-Bike .. the prices for these adds on where around ..
    Shield ..150,-
    komplete Alu-plate with Seatpad - 400,-
    Topcase with mountplate - 200,-

used a GS and than an RT the last 10 years, (62.000 kms- most 2up) - I love the drive-shaft and the Design - so I promised my girl that she gets enough space and a "luxury" seat when I ordered this small Ryky last year ..
