A few years back I gave this some thought and I believe it can be done using " stainless steel corrugated " hoses like they use for automobile radiator purposes...… They are much stronger than the rubber ones ( burst strength ) are very, very bendable and have the added benefit of better HEAT removal from the liquid ( anti-freeze )……. I have seen 40-48 inch lengths for sale on E-bay for $36.00 ( and in different colors ) these can be shortened to the length you need …… Mike

Not sure what kind of info you need. As a side note, are you changing them as preventative maintenance or are you finding they have an issue?

We found a trick to install them: Goop waterless hand cleaner. Smear a bit of goop inside the hose, and the hose goes right on! If you have a hose that leaks, first try replacing the clamp. Fixed a leak on SpyderAnn’s RT.

Any type of liquid SOAP ( which you probably have ) works great ………….. good luck …. Mike

I am currently in Arizona, and it only leaks or drips when the bike has been hot, and then at night when the temps drop, it leaks overnight. You can see a drip on the lower hose where hose connects to the fitting that tees to both radiators. Took to dealer twice and he said it was from temperature variation, and some corrosion on hoses where connecting to fittings

Dealer told me you would pretty much have to take off the frunk, and to replace both hoses and clamps would cost me about $1100. Bike has 32,000, and he suggested just changing them out.

Had exactly the same problem with STS, even though they are different engines. Problem was solved by removing the spring clamp and replacing with screw clamp.

The issue is probably getting access to the correct clamp. Access is much easier on STS. By the time everything is opened up, it is probably better idea to change out the clamps completely, as dealer recommended.

Get some good heavy duty diagonal cutters and LOTS of hose clamps.

....That's a pretty amazing tool ….. the only drawback that I see is - the amount of room you need to use the tool … ie. tight spaces could be a challenge ….. Mike

I have a 14 also, and have removed my frunk a FEW dozen times, both lower side panels ( the ones that pop off ) have to come off …. four 10mm bolts across the top edge of the frunk ( you only need to put the outside ones on after first removal ) two upper side panel bolts 10mm and underneath two 10mm bolts that are horizontal into the frame …. NOT THE NUTS that are alongside the bolts ….. the most difficult part is the Rubber Elbo at the Air filter box …. getting it apart isn't difficult - getting it back together is ( that's why the dealer charges so much to remove & replace it ) ….. soooooo don't connect the elbo …. it isn't necessary …. it doesn't need to be airtight anyway …. The corrugated steel hoses I suggested ( earlier ) is an option IF the Hose/s have a pin hole leak -otherwise just replace the clamps ( with screw type ) as others have suggested . …. I can now do mine ( remove and replace ) in about 1/2 hr. …. find a parts fiche' and this will give you a good idea of the bolts etc. mentioned previously.... I have seen a few different vids ( like from shawn smoak ) of hoe it's done …. good luck …. Mike
