Global cooling would be worse. We can adapt to the coastlines flooding easier than cities buried in one mile of ice. I do remember much more snow in the 70's.

Still plenty of snow here in NW Iowa. Just came in from running the snowblower to remove snow that blew into the drive last night. Sub zero this morning. Temps have been well below average so far. More snow than we have had in awhile. Snowmobilers are very happy. It looks like it will be early April before things improve enough to ride.

Sure doesn't bode well for the people along the Mississippi when it starts melting. It's already at flood stage at New Orleans. The Bonnet Carrie Spillway is open to move water into Lake Pontchartrain, and there's talk of opening up the Morganza Spillway. The latter would flood thousands of acres of farm and suburban ground in Louisiana.

Mother Nature sure has given the lower 48 a ride this year. And now, we have tornado season upon us.
One of the first things we will do if we move, will be to put in a tornado shelter if there is not one already.

Next atmospheric river has made its start here too, rain 3 of the next 5 days. Don’t know what it will be like by the time it gets to the Midwest and east. 3 years ago the reservoirs were so low that houseboats were beached and there was a fire sale on the things. The ring around Lake Shasta and every other reservoir was 30 feet high. I should have bought a weekender houseboat when I had the chance!

Well here in Vermont we still have a lot of snow on the ground( roughly 2 feet in the valleys, and more in the mountains) with ice underneath the snow. The skiers and snowmobilers are in there glory.
Now it is lightly snowing. Also the maple sugar season has not started yet.
So and this weekend an other messy storm coming in the temps in the 30's/ 40's and rain. Next week it will start to warm up!
Oh old man winter is really throwing us a curve here in the northeast.
Last year at this time I was racking some of my lawn.
Also I have 5 weeks until my spyder is out of hibernation, I hope by then the White Gold ( snow) will be gone
