    Default 900 Driving modes.

I finally tried sport mode yesterday, I was kind of impressed with it in that mode. Other places I have seen said online they didn't see that much of a change when switching modes. I am new to open air riding and I've been taking it easy in standard mode to get a feel for the Ryker and being out in the open. Well I placed it in sport mode when sitting at a red light last night and it feels like a totally different machine. Throttle response was a lot quicker and it feels like it pulls a lot harder when accelerating. Has anyone else noticed this or is it me thinking this because I changed the modes.

Good to know. If you get out into the twisties you will also notice a big change in the handling as it eases up the nanny control as well. Just be careful if your not an agressive ryder... would love to mod that on my RS....

Here is a copy of the driving modes: taken from the Ryker Operators Manual

    Driving Modes

    ECO Mode
The ECO (fuel economy mode) setting reduces fuel consumption by limiting throttle response and maximum throttle opening to maintain an optimal cruising setting.

    SPORT Mode
When the SPORT mode is activated, the VSS will allow significantly more rear wheel spinning and higher vehicle slip angle, thus requiring countersteering. Moreover, when this mode is activated, traction control is reduced, meaning that rear wheel skidding is less supported even on lower friction surfaces. This mode is most effective on dry or wet asphalt. When this mode is activated, the driver should be even more careful than when normally driving the vehicle. This mode can only be activated when the driver is alone on the vehicle (no passenger) and if no VSS fault is active.

    WARNING
You should familiarize yourself with the basic operation of the vehicle as well as vehicle handling with the VSS before using the sport mode. When using the sport mode, always be aware of your surroundings and of the vehicle handling.

    RALLY Mode
The RALLY mode was designed to improve the riding experience on loose gravel road and other unpaved roads. VSS interventions are adapted to loose surface roads. This mode must only be used when riding on unpaved roads. When this mode is activated, the driver should be even more careful than when normally driving the vehicle.

Hope they come up with a software update which leaves it in sport mode ,instead of having to put it in it every time u start the bike. Once u ride in sport mode u will never go back.

Sport Mode gives you More Throttle with Less Grip Movement-That's It. It will allow you more Wheel spin than Normal ECO OFF mode. If your On a Race course with a Jet Ski or Back Roads on a Ryker where you have to get ON and OFF the Gas your better off with ECO OFF (Normal Mode) and work the Throttle to match the conditions!

I would donate my "Rally Mode " to someone if I could because All I,m gonna use is Normal and Sport when I feel the need.

I'm guilty I have not tried sport or rally mode yet, scared it'll get me in trouble, still in safe/eco mode. I have a question for you rally mode guys, can you whip a you know what or not quite? Have you done gravel drifting yet?
