EVERYBODY who has posted in this thread is trying to help as best they can.

YOU being nasty about it doesn't accomplish anything and doesn't bode well for future questions you might need help with.

The elapsed time thing would be under the Trip A or B function using the mode button.

That would literally be 99.9% of the forum. Good luck with that!

Besides, by definition you are already not reading stuff from people that aren't posting (i.e. answering questions).

    Hi Guys,
The blue circle is the time ( too small to be of any use ). The red is elapse time of the trip I believe. It resets whentrip meter is reset , which I do at every fuel fill.

That’s exactly why I asked, Lew. To confirm with the OP which clock he is talking about with this thread, making sure we’re all talking about the same clock.

    Doug,

I'm talking about the blue circled one.... I actually got it to stay today, even after shutting it off. It seems like if you put it on the 24hr clock it will not keep time (no, i'm not getting on the bike at midnight every day! ), it just reverts to 00:00 every time you start the bike. But, when I chose AM/PM it seems to have kept it, even after shutting the bike off for 15 minutes. I will try it again tomorrow and see if it kept it over night.

Hopefully this is the end of this issue. Now to move that stuff from the trunk to where it will be usable.

FIN. That’s good. Because the only function of that clock is time of day. And the only thing that should cause it to reset is a loss of battery power. And even then, I’ve had my battery out overnight and it kept time. I don’t use 24hr format so can’t vouch for that. As a long shot, if you wanted, next time you start up and while you’re waiting to warm up, cycle through every one of your preference settings, change them or adjust them and change them back, in order to rewrite all those settings back into memory. If the problem continues I’d focus on exactly when it resets. That is, when they key is turned on, when the start button is pushed, etc. What happens to cause it. Good luck with it.

It should now be obvious by now that nobody in this forum can help you with this, possibly because of insufficient facts.

You NEED to either take it to a dealer OR stop worrying about it.
A small piece of masking or black electrical tape can help with the ignoring part.

Please check the fuse F1 in the right fuse box. It is the power for the clock. The right fuse box is actually on the left when you are standing in front of the bike looking in the frunk. Fuse F1 is the first small fuse. 15A. This fuse also goes to the hazard lights. If your hazards dont work, then the fuse is blown. Hope its that simple.

    Hi Joel,

Thanks for that, but unfortunately that fuse is ok, even tried another one, still didn't work. HOWEVER, i never set the date before, so I did that this time. I will check the byke again tomorrow to see if it saved the time. FINALLY, maybe I have the fix.

PS, i checked the manual and called the dealer, no one knows why it is doing this, so I'm hopeful the date issue fixes it.

There are two fuses feeding power to the cluster, F1 and F7 in the left box. Have you checked both? F1 provides power full time. F7 when the ignition is on. Check all your preference settings. Are any of them not sticking when you turn the ignition off? IIRC there is at least one, maybe audio related, that reverts to default when the power to the cluster is cut off. Do the hazard flashers work when the key is off? F1 is listed as both cluster and hazard but F2 in the RFB is the main hazard power. I don't know but the flashers may not work if F1, LFB is blown.

If you have established that the cluster is getting power all the time through F1 then the only thing I can see is there is a short or break in the circuitry inside the cluster.
