Do you actually USE your Heated seats? What do you think of them?
Just wanted to get an idea on how many of you with heated seats actually use them and do you think it was worth it?
I only ask as I am at that tipping point were I plan to upgrade my seat this year and I have never had a heated seat before
thanks for your input

Hi Ron,
The first time I had a heated seat was on a BMW 1200. Since then all my RDL seats are ordered with the heat option. We use them often on cold rides as it helps take the edge off. Why not be more comfortable!

I've never used a heated seat before, but the Spyder I am picking up Saturday has one. Not sure if it will get used or not, it's going to be 70 there and 40's when I get home. Maybe towards the end i'll kick on on LOL. I know I love the heated grips that I put on my Honda ST1300.

Don't know...
I may be alone on this or my anatomy is different but my butt nor my palms get cold when ryding. I do have heated gloves and heated jacket liner. I do ryde an RS and my hands are exposed getting full on wind so the gloves are on a seperate temp control. Some heat in under the Jeans and good to go. But then there are a mess of folks out there that swear by the seat and grips being heated....

I found it to be the best seat out there. When we first got our 2014 RT I tried the BRP comfort seat, then a Ultimate seat than finally went with Daylong. Should have just started with Daylong as I have had them on my Harley's.
Now we have two F3's and just got Daylong's for both!
The nice part is RDL gives you 8 months to make sure it's right for you, and after two tries in that time frame if they can not they will refund your money. In the last 3 seats I have only had to have them correct it once (on the first seat).

I had the heated comfort seat on my 15 RTL until buying a heated Ultimate seat last Oct. I use the heat a lot, since I ride year round unless there's ice in the forecast. It's very comfortable. If you're interested in the Can Am heated comfort seat, I have mine for sale.

I have the Can am comfort heated seat-a little more room for me and the heat is good. (Wife says hers(passenger) gets to hot on Hi). Had it on my 2006 Goldwing and was surprised a RT-L didn't come with it.
Yes it's worth it!

Heated seats are great. RDL makes a great seat. Laamseats are fantastic and about half as much as a RDL. We have both, in fact, we have 2 Daylong’s and a Laam. Being comfortable is priceless!

Here are the (2) best things that can be done to a motorcycle seat in terms of
making it an all day comfortable seat.
There is NO NEED to spends several hundred dollars on an after market seat
just to get comfort, this is a job you can do yourself using hand tools you
have or can get at Harbor Freight.
The seat heater is $89.95 and the ConfortMax Gel Kit also $79.95.
Any of your local automotive upholstery shops can also install this for you for
about 1 hours labor at their labor rate most charge $85 to $100
ask anyone here on the forum who has don this to their seat and they will tell you
it made the stock seat super cumphy for an all day ride...

I ran wires directly from the battery with one being fused connected to a 30amp relay that is powered from a keyed on wire. Since that keyed power wires job is to only activate the relay it doesn't draw much power. This is then connected to the seat. I did not like trying to draw the power needed for the seat from existing wiring, and that is why I did the direct to battery.

Glorybiz:
From one Legion Rider to another go for the heat. I have it on my 2015 RTL and I have a new 2020 F3 Limited on it way but it doesn't have the heated seat but it will once I get it.
We'll have to hook up for a ride sometime. I am with ALR Post 143 in New Cumberland PA.
