F3 Valve Stems
I have a 2018 F3 Limited. The valve stems that came on the front tires are too short for me to install the FOBO tire pressure monitors. Are the Spyder valve stems normal automotive tire valve stems, or does CanAm require specialty valve stems? Also, is there any way to replace the valve stems without taking off the tires, or do I have to take it to the dealer to replace the valve stems? I have never changed a tire valve stem myself, so I am a newby in this area. Thanks

The valve stems are standard automotive pieces. And yes, you'll have to remove the tires to replace them.

Thanks for the quick reply. I think I will try Tire Valve Extensions first.

If you go with the standard rubber ones - no issues, but be careful of the metal ones as the F3 wheel has a small pocket that is too small for some of the metal washers that clamp the rubber seals. I purchase 4 from an auto parts store only to find that out.

Try putting them on if you have not already done so. I have a 2017 f3t and they are tight but are working fine on the bike. They appear to not screw on all the way but do work and have not come off after a year of use. Best of luck.
BTW they did work, tight, on silver wheels that came on bike and black wheels from an rt i traded for with my friend. best of luck.

If you are referring to my post. I did try and there is no way the metal valves I have will fit, but luckily the Garmin sending caps fit on the stock short valves.

I got some 3/4 inch tire valve extensions. So far, so good. The FOBO tire pressure monitors are working and so far, no pressure loss after 5 hours. Thanks for everyone's comments and suggestions. Much appreciated.
