Yeah, I saw that. I remembered seeing the original photos of it. Huge shame.

WOW! That belongs to Ernie, here in Birmingham, I hope he's OK. All I remember is that whoever buys it, will get loads of goodies. Lights, sound, chrome, paint.

Chances are the referenced post is positive in nature, may result in a solution, alteration, modification, or highlights an extraordinary event or ride, that's worth posting.

First... I hope they are ok. Spyders can be replaced.
Trying to figure out if that was front end crash, or if somebody clipped the front from the side. Hard to say.
I hope the owner pops in here to let us know. It's interesting to see how our spyders respond to impacts... though more interesting when it isn't your own.
Again, hope they are in good health.
Edit, looks like he hit front on... THe ebay pics show the handlebar assembly broken loose/bent forward.

Hope the ryder is OK
A shame but don't assign blame. Many of us have had a close call whether deer or A*%hole drivers sometimes all we can do is pray for a safe ride. Pour one out for the spyder!

Looks like the impact is on the left and the frame is bent.

+1 If I was 5 - 10 seconds faster yesterday, I could have been hurt real bad. I pulled up to a 4-way stop sign and was just about to take my turn going through when a lady to my right came barreling through the intersection at probably 45+ MPH, almost clipped the pickup that was coming through the intersection (across from me) barely blipped her brakes and then looked at the truck like she couldn't understand why they pulled out in front of her.

Oh my... and the steering column is sheared off below the bars at the riser (picture #20 in the eBay ad). Must have been a significant hit.

I bet one of the spyders will soon have air bags.
I bet CAN AM have air bags on the table for the future spyder like Gold Wings, and BMWs. It would be a good idea, and future if they did.

That wasn't the one that hit a deer last year - that one was up in Wisconsin.
Typical rule on a bike is if there is frame damage they total it.
Bummer - that was sharp looking!

Vehicles can be replaced, people can't; let's hope the rider's OK.
The foot pegs are WAY cool, any idea where they came from?

Stuff, including Spyders, can generally be replaced, hope the ryder is okay, looks like somebody "didn't see the motorcycle".
BTW, the pegs are Kuryaken, got 'em for highway pegs.
