Favorite Restaurant
We all have favorite places we like to eat, and this is one of mine. It's called Cowboy Dinner Tree and is out in the middle of Nowhere Central Oregon in high desert country Off the grid.
Only two things on the menu, Steak or Chicken at $33 and you had better be hungry as you get a 5 lb chicken or a 3 lb Steak with all the trimmings. No booze but plenty of tea or lemonade. It includes soup and salad and great dinner rolls and a desert. We always stop with a group on a camping trip and eat on leftovers for two days. Oh and as far out as it is you had better make reservations or you won't get a seat.

Brooks' Bar-B-Q pit, in Oneonta, NY.
If you're within 2 hours, and 100 miles of the place: it's worth the detour!

Can't say it's my favorite but whenever I'm close around I love to stop at Lambert's Cafe, Home of the Throwed Roll. I've been to the Sikeston, MO and Ozark, MO restaurants but not the Foley, AL one. Bottomless pot of vegies like beans, potatoes, corn, etc., and they'll keep throwing rolls to you as often as you want. Sorghum molasses really tastes good on them. A waiter said only about 10% of the rolls end up on the floor! They'll toss them clear across the room to you! Fun place to eat!

Since my wife is Gluten allergic, best gluten free pizza was The Mooses Tooth in Anchorage. Even called them one year to see if they could overnight ship for a special occasion.

I was just watching "Diners, Drive-Ins, & Dives", and they showcased an auto repair shop in Brooklyn (?). The shop owner had a cart out front, and Guy raved about what he was doing there!

For many years my favorite restaurant was the Mahogany Grille in the Strater Hotel, downtown Durango CO. Looked forward to the elk tenderloin every trip we made there. Unfortunately the chef left and the hotel has been unable to find a replacement with the spark that made the place an amazing place for wild game.

The White Horse in Rock Hill, SC. Been eating there for over 40 years. There signature sandwich is the Nitty Gritty Grinder. It's like a French dip, but better. I think they marinate it in some kind of dope because I can't stop ordering it.
