Well... I went Trailer shopping today. Haulmark 6x12 is no good, ramp is too narrow for Spyders. 7x14 works, no one in my area has 7x12, I can order one but it will only be $200 cheaper than 7x14. I looked at Haulmark Passport & Transport, Transport is $1k more, no exposed riviets on outside (I like that) both have good ramp/spring. Transport has some nice features, I think it’s worth the extra $1k. For everything, Passport is just shy of $6k, Transport around $7k (Transport has rings for tiedowns).
Base Price for 7x14:
Haulmark Passport= $4,700
Haulmark Transport=$5,700
CargoMate Blazer=$5,600
Also looked at the Cargo Mate Blazer, $5,600 (not including tax etc). This one has decent plywood, not a V-nose but interior is nicer than Haulmark and has no exterior rivets. I may go check out some Larks tomorrow but I just read some bad reviews. But, ive found good & bad reviews on just about every trailer I’ve researched.
Just thought I’d pass along the info I learned today.

It is your height while SEATED on the Spyder that counts.

Sounds like you've got the process well under control, and learning quite a bit doing it!

Not really. After trying to tie down and maneuver you will soon tire of doing it bent over and your back will start talking to you. A six foot trailer will measure about 5' 10 1/2" inside height. If your taller than that spend the extra $3-500 and get the 6 1/2".

Details are important.
I didn't have that problem....much......because I was hauling a 2-wheeler with a drive-on chock in the front.
And I'm pretty short too.
It is an excellent point though as I get stiff applying the straps at all 3 corners in my toy hauler.
I've been thinking of looking for drive-on chocks for the 2 front wheels to put in there.
