All species and subspecies of wolves are social animals that live and hunt in families called packs, although adult wolves can and do survive alone.

Our neighbor saw a cougar ( mountian lion, puma ) last week. Other solo hunters around here: bear and bobcat.

The cat was on the board walk for the same reason the people were........ he didn't want to get his paws wet walking across the swamp.
