Default 2016 F3 Limited air valve under passenger seat??

I just purchased a used 2016 F3 Limited. Under the passenger seat is an air valve. I checked the pressure and it is zero. What is this valve for and how much pressure should there be?

If you don't have an owners manual, you should get one.

There is an air spring/shock in the rear suspension.
Some operate semi-automatically and some you have to add air manually.
I think the minimum recommended pressure is something around 4 PSI.

Maximum should be around 60 PSI

There is a chart in the manual, along with a sticker near the valve, thst show the recommended settings for the air bag. You need to check it fairly often as they lose pressure.

    That's good to know.
The first RT I bought used had the switch on the dashboard and did NOT have the sticker by the valve...............
But displayed a failure message when the switch was pushed.
And the dealer I bought it from said that it did not HAVE the automatic feature.
Turns out that was not true.

I have to admit that I really don’t understand the exact purpose of the air bag. It sits on top of the shock, which does all the work. Is it simply to cushion the effect of your shock bottoming out? Is it simply to add ride height? Now that I am running Wilber shocks, which have eliminated ANY bottoming out on my 16 F3-L, I have run the air bag at 65psi and 5 psi, and have experienced zero difference in ride quality.

Mostly. The shock works best when it starts out "centered".
It should PREVENT the shock from bottoming out in some situations......if used properly.

Go to this link, drill down to your model and read page 51, http://www.operatorsguides.brp.com/I...adster&type=og.

Thanks to all!! I did not get a manual with the F3. However, I went to the BRP site and found the manual.....bad news is BRP will not let you download it to a PDF. I did find a different site where I could download to a PDF, but it is not for a F3 Limited, which leaves out a lot. Also, here is a photo of the label next to the valve. What the heck does that mean?? I filled it to 30PSI, and I'll see how that works.

If you got it from a dealer, they should get you a manual free of charge.
If from an individual, you should go back and give him 10 lashes for losing it.
Should be able to buy one from a dealer fairy cheap.

That is not the label in question. That one is part numbers for something, I think.
Is there not another label nearby ?

You should have this decal under your passenger seat with this information on it. It shows the airbag pressure recommended for the load being carried.
I weight just under 250lb and maybe have 10lbs of gear in the bags, so I run about 50psi in my airbag.
