I have the large installed, simple to do just make sure the area where you are going to install it is super clean for the adhesive to stick.

Get the mounting bracket. Keeps the flag flat. Before the brackets came out, I used a piece of HDPE plastic. That one is still great 75,000 miles later! Pick up power from the license plate light.

Thanks for the replies everyone. My concern is that I have the Lamonster Bright Tail Lighter and wondering if I have room to use the harness that comes with the flag. I did order the mounting plate. I haven't taken anything apart yet been to cold in the garage. lol

Yes, the plug in connectors for both should fit fine behind the tail light.

Yes, just installed the large unit n my 2018 rt limited. Works Great. The harness is a good plug/play. Just follow the instruction supplied by TricLed.

I bought the flag and mounting bracket at M/V a few months back. Before leaving for home I placed it up to my F3L and found the bracket will not work with a trailer hitch. The bracket has the flag about 1/3 covered up by the hitch. I took the bracket back and will be making one to fit my Spyder.

Has anyone that has one been pulled over for red/blue lights? I have one on a Slingshot (just bought an RT), and am nervous about it. Would love one on the Spyder as well, just nervous on the attention..... Thanks

It would be a sorry ass cop if he gave you a hard time for an American Flag. I never would have.

Thanks again all for the install information. Glad to hear there is room behind the tail light housing.

For "most" law enforcement agencies, as long as the red/blue lights in general are not on the front or facing the front, you're OK. You take a chance for a "person of interest" stop if the lights face or can be seen from the front. My thoughts.........

Thanks. Kind of my thought and not pulled over yet on my Slingshot. Always nervous though.

In my area (St Pete beach, FL), we have allot of very young officers, and a few with a reputation of being a little challenging. I've been pulled over once in 25 years, and it was for running a red light. Funny thing is, I sat at the light for at least 30 seconds, waited for it to turn green, then went through at a leisurely pace. It was VERY early in the AM as I headed to work, so I believe the Officer was looking for a reason to pull me over as I was leaving the beach. But he swore I ran the light. Took at least 5 minutes of back and forth for him to admit he could not even see the light from where he was parked, he finally stated he "assumed" I ran it. I have nothing but the highest respect for our police and firefighters (as well as military, as retired AF), just nervous with a semi legitimate reason to pull me over.

I will likely add one, I really like showing respect to our country while others (NFL) go their merry little way.

I've seen it happen down here in North Florida, but on the ohter side, I've been pulled over to be asked where I purchased it. I don't think you should have any problems.

How old would you be if you didn't know how old you were?

Was filling up with gas in Daytona, March of 2016. Female officer came out of 7/11 and told me to "turn off the Blue Led strips lites on the side of my bike. Blue lite are illegal in Fl.". 1st. time in 5 years that I've been going to FL. and ride with the Leds on, that anyone said anything to me.

I’d be grateful if the flag stays lit. Last two flags have had “personalities “

We had a cop last night in Edwardsville Kansas requested me to turn it off. Couldn't do that have added a switch to turn it off. She said we were illegal with the blue on. Sad that we can't support our country or military with it. Glad I didnt have the one to support the police on it, it has more blue.

We got stopped by small town police in kansas and it's on the back by the hitch and she requested I turn it off. Couldn't do that at the time so we have added a switch to do that with, she said we were illegal just for that small patch of blue. Pretty sad you can get in trouble for the led flag. Have traveled through several states and Canada and never any problems, only in our own state.
