A couple things to consider: The two front wheels act like a snow plow. The rear wheel spins out very easy on ice/snow.
If you find you can go, you may not be able to stop. I wont put myself or my spyder in undo peril. Those bigger out of control vehicles are the ones I am afraid of.

Fyi from the south .....(maybe mid south for some) rain , cold rain, & yesterday heavy mist that should be rain, roads just as wet but no pooling. & sill cold so when your walking under an awning to enter somewhere there is a laser guided COLD drop of water that will: 1: hit your square in forehead, 2: hit perfectly between your collar & trail down your spine. Those wearing glasses : you already know the joys from fog, drops, mist, cumbersome gloves & all that
Today is looking little better so far.
Thankfully I only know the glasses info from being only 1 in family to not need them, even after injury THANK YOU LORD!

No snow in here, just lots of cold

We got a little here in the Carson Valley too... wanted to take the F3 out but my driveway is a wonderful mix of gravel and ice. I did get a little ride in just after the last storm, once most of the snow was melted off the street. I was surprised at how much warmer it was to ride the F3 as opposed to my Victory Cross Country - it was 35 degrees and I never turned on the heated jacket liner.
Now, who makes sand (snow) paddles for the Spyder... hmm?

Weekend ryde
Here in Carson City, I look out the door of the garage and hope for a clear weekend.
I need to get one more ride before year end. So far work and honey do has kept me off the bike.
Maybe this weekend I can bundle up and ryde. Will give my heated gear a test.
Finger crossed.

Only 3 miles to work, so I ride if the roads are clear even if it was only 8 degrees .

Ended up with 15" snow. Looks like it might stick around for a little bit.

I live in the deep south. Right now I'm waiting for the ice to melt on my Spyder so I can ride to Florida with full winter gear. Yes, you can ride all year long. If you got the right gear.

So far it looks good through Saturday... I have a company Xmas party to go to on Saturday, so I'm going to try to get in a ride Thursday or Friday. Heck, Friday the high is supposed to be in the 50's, no heated gear needed!!

Went for a short ride Sunday after church, just to get my Dec ride in. 43 degrees and no wind. Wasn’t too bad but not as enjoyable.

Went home for lunch yesterday, rode the F3 back to work. There wasn't time to get cold on the short ride back home afterwards... and it was worth it to see the look on people's faces!
