Turning off "location" if your phone has that feature should take care of that issue. If the phone does not know where it is, it can't report it.

Of course, you loose GPS functionality at that time.

Flip phones have a gps chip and can be tracked.

All cell phones can be tracked, with or without the GPS/location turned on. It can even be powered off and the phone can still be pinged and the location of the phone. Apple IPhones are the easiest to track and locate.....If Big Brother wants you, they will find you....unless you go completely off the grid that is.....We have been using systems for this for a long time, even VPN's don't work if the Gov't is trying to track you..:O
