Year and model of Spyder? PN doesn't show on BRP or Cheap Cycle Parts web site searches.

Is this what you're talking about? If so, all it does is save you a little time accessing the oil filter. That's it. Otherwise, it does nothing to shorten the time it takes to actually do the oil and filter change. Can't hurt, but don't expect miracles. Also, not needed for any RT that has had the heat kit installed.

It says it's for the RT. Any year since the body panels are interchangeable between years, if I understand correctly.

Yep that's it..so it doesn't help that much, or just take off regular body panels? BTW what is this heat kit you speak of? I have a 2012 RT Limited does this apply

Those part won't get you anywhere near near the oil filter on MY 2014 and later RTs. The part number does not show on the side panel diagram for 2012 RTs although it's possible it is an old number that has been changed.

What it does is replace the current noise abatement panel with one that is much smaller and allows you to access the oil filter without having to remove the noise abatement panel (or whatever it's called).

The early RT's had a problem with overheating, caused by the engine heat getting trapped behind the noise panels. So, they put out a kit to fix that. Some of us have installed this kit just to help keep the heat away from the cockpit.

Here is a thread on the topic (there are plenty of others) https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/...light=heat+kit

I order all my Spyder parts from www.powersportswarehouse.com The vent kit part number is 219800388
