    Default Intake flange difficulty level?

Thanks for the add to this forum!

I am new to the Spyder, but am really enjoying it tremendously.
We just bought a 2008 GS.

it appears to have a small oil leak coming from somewhere around the water pump.
while I had the Tupperware off trying to see where it was leaking from, I noticed that both intake rubber boot flanges are dry rotted and cracked.

I have ordered the new flanges. My question is how hard are they to get to?
i have had the top off of the breather box, but I am pretty sure the whole box will have to come out.

has anyone changed these yet? Do you guys have any tips or advice for me before I start tearing into it?

    Thanks for your help!

    Default Depends...

Welcome to the 🎪... If you have a shop manual great or download one from E-bay for around $20.00. Now if the spyder is stock the airbox removal is a bit of work. After that things get a lot easier as you can get to everything. While you have the airbox off I would change the plugs as this is your best chance at getting to the front cylinder. You can get the iridium plugs and wires from BajaRon sponsor vendor here. Now if you have already done the plugs no problem.
