Park brake release
Love the electronic parking brake but how would you release the brake with a failed battery, keeping in mind that with my medical problems and cannot crawl under the bike. Have asked a few and they really don’t know. Thinking of this if (and I hope never) if I ever need to be hoisted on to a flatbed. Thanks

If you can't get down to get to the rear brake to pull the cable loose your best other choice is to jump the battery. I don't know the details but you can get to the front brake cable pulley by taking off the tupperware on the right side. Not hard, but a nuisance.

Totally ignorant question but which cable is that?

no such thing as a dumb question. The parking brake cable that goes to the rear wheel. The OP says it is tough to get to. No, it is tough to get back up! I can fall down! Once I do, I use 2 Open end wrenches to loosen the jamb nuts on that cable, and free the bike from the parking brake. It then moves easily. Like out of the garage, and close enough to jump start. We had cable issues a few years ago, and removing the cable released the tension to free the bike. 2 12mm open end wrenches, loosen the jamb nuts, free the cable, release the brakes, move the Spyder. The tough part is getting back up!

This is the one I am getting, and doesn't require to keep it charged in order for it to work.

Given your medical condition you have made the best choice for a solution to a possible dead battery situation. Just remember to check every so often to be sure it has a full charge. Wise idea to be prepared in advance. Happy trails.

Those things are not "new" anymore.
They are available a LOT of places in stores; most Auto Parts stores and maybe even WalMart and the like.
A couple of "Google" searches should give you several options.
As is true with most things, one that is super cheap might be worth what you pay for it: not very much.
