Smile Brought home a 09 SM5 Phantom Friday night

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone that participates in this forum. A lot of useful information here to help people, like myself, make a great decision. I am 37 and sold my HD Fatbob last week to get the.

Rode it home Friday evening from dealership in Austin to Katy(west side of Houston), about 150 miles. Funny thing was each person that worked there that we talked to asked if we were going to trailer it home. I said we're buying it to ride it not haul it around.

Saturday after work installed Hindle and 1" riser block per instructions on here. Didn't have time to install passenger peg extensions, wanted to ride, maybe next weekend. Ordered the rear sport rack in black, backrest in black, and comfort seat for wife. Dealer says all three are a few weeks out.

Any way, I've rambled enough, Thanks again

    Just a suggestion-

If you may be thinking of installing NMN taillight/brake light kit; you may want to do that during your install of the BRP sport rack/back rest. I just removed my sport rack/back rest last night and it is a little time consuming; I should be receiving the taillights today.

I'm not sure if you have read the postings on going into limp mode due to a loss of a taillight. With NMN's taillight kit, you won't have to worry about this.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcomes. I will look into NMN tailight kit. I have lived in Texas for 12 years now and still have trouble getting used to the heat in the summer. It can be down right toasty. I grew up in central Ohio riding ATV's and snomobiles so I felt right at home on the the first time I rode one.

    Many happy miles to everyone.
