You can get the fan type in after you pull the Instrument Panel. Small and/or young hands, help. The big mushroom looking passive heat sink type won't fit around the bails. (Ask me how I know this). Your illumination pattern will change. For me a big improvement over the Halogen fireflies.

    Default LED headlights

I installed LaMonster LED headlights in my 2013 Spyder.
Definitely take the instrument panel off.
I took off the windshield also.
Small hands help to attache the bulb clamps.
The LEDs are pre clocked so filament rotation alignment is not an issue.
For me the only issue is the projected height of the light pattern.
I have to significantly lower the light beam at my next major mechanical service.
The illumination of the LED lights is worth the effort

If you don't already have one, get a service manual from an online site. canammanuals.com

Here are some pics of when I replaced the headlights with LEDs. The LEDs had metal mesh ribbon for the cooling and the newer bulbs will have a cooling head that fits better. It will be very helpful if you have someone with small hands as they are hard to get at and the spring clips are strong.

WOW, Holy tight quarters Batman!!! I just bought my wife a set of metal ribbon heat sink style. (Fan motors create RF noise) I got the Instrument Panel off and I can get my finger to the back of the bulb. But NO Possible way can I grab or turn anything in there. It looks like the best solution would be to remove all Tupperware, and remove the headlight housing. I wear 3X gloves, there is no way I can see to get in there.
