RE: 75,000 ways to make it yours. Similar to Subways claim of multi million combinations.
Its all about the "magic" of math.
EG: A state has the following license plate combination (BRP 000). If you take the combinations and permutations of the letters and numbers available:
BRP = 26, x 26, x 26 (26 = the number of letters possible in the alphabet)
000 = 10, x 10, x 10 (10 = the number of numbers possible 1 - 10)
Multiplied: 26, x 26, x 26, x 10, x 10, x 10 = you come up with 17,576,000 possible combinations and permutations. Easy, peasy.
