Finally got my license
So I decided, with a bit of pushing from my GF, to take my written and skills test so I can legally ride and test drive Spyders. In Missouri they still put the motorcycle "M" endorsement on your license but restrict it with another designation so I am only legal to operate three wheel motorcycles. The written portion was much easier than I expected. I was thinking there would be plenty of trick questions, but it was all pretty simple common sense. The driving exercise was equally as easy. A few maneuvers to show you can turn left and right between cones and lines, a very short slalom, then a quick hit to 20 mph and slam the brakes.
Now with the legal aspect behind me I need to figure out what it is I really want. My GF has the 2012 RT and it is nice. I fit it nicely, it definitely has plenty of storage and my 12 yr old son rides on the back comfortably. The F3-T has also been catching my eye, but I have not yet been able to try one out. Hopefully before long I will be able to swing a leg over a F-3 and give it a spin.
I am definitely getting more excited to join the many that are already enjoying cruising around on Spyders.

New to Missouri, and only have my permit so far. I'm taking the Safety course offered by BRP in August, so should have my license then. Was you able to take the skills test on the Spyder?
Is it Friday yet? ... Oh yeah, I forgot. I'm retired

Hey Blue, sorry for the late response. Yes the skills test can be taken on the Can-Am but they do it on the normal motorcycle course. There was a couple of times I wondered if the course lines and cones were going to be wide enough for the Spyder to fit through, but all was well. Good luck on your skills test!

On one hand I wish I knew that sooner, but on the other I guess I'm not. Either way the safety course will be time well spent, and will count for my skills test too.
