Default Handlebar slipping with Rox Risers Help

I installed the Rox risers on my 2018 F3L and I cant get them tight enough to stop slipping. There in no knurling on the handlebars. The bars want to slip with average pressure on them. I tried a prick punch and hammer to mar the inside surface. Didn't help. What now any advice would be helpful.

I can't speak directly about the ROX brand ....but when I bought risers from " RSI " they sent shims because all handlebars are not the same size ......How close to the exact diameter is the ROX brand...... di you get SHIMS ??? .........Mike ..........PS.... PM Prairie Spyder ( Patti ) I'm pretty sure She has them on Her F-3

No shims. I may have to make some. A friend said use pop can to make shims.

Wet-N-Dry emery / sand paper works well in the bar clamp.....

    Default Two options

Return the them; mine don’t slip.
set your bars where you want them, drill through, put a screw in. They won't move.
    Your call.

I did the set screw trick as mentioned already on my old Harley bars many years ago and never had another problem after that.

    Default Fox risers

I had them on a Honda ST1100 and finally trashed them as never able to stabilize.

I drilled and taped the risers caps. Added 2 bolts. All is good unless the lower one moves.🤔

Here's mine. I had to drill, tap and add 2 screws to stop slippage.

In the past when I had a similar problem, some double-sided fiberglass carpet tape fixed it.

Tighten down the front bolts all the way then tighten down the rear. Many folks on other motorcycle threads say this is the proper way to tighten them and they don't slip.

What am I doing wrong? The right one turns the ignition key off when I make a tight right turn, I have it extended out as far as I am comfortable with.

    Thanks

The only time my handlebars slipped after the Rox risers were installed was when Cruzr Joe sat on my F3T and then used them to pull himself up. Maybe they would slip if it really leaned on them, but I try to push up from my feet instead.

Rox Risers will give you more adjustability because you have 2 pivot points. You can move the riser up or down and the handlebar up and down till you have the right fit.
