    Default RT quit running

My RT quit running and unable to restart on July 4, dealer state that the computer said crankshaft sensor failure. Dealer order a new sensor today said it would take 3-5 days to get.

Its the first for them, as anyone else had the same problem?

Hi John. 2014 RT is it? Sometimes sensors fail. A hard failure of that sensor will trip the code and is pretty easy to diagnose. Back in the beginning of July, another member here had somewhat of an intermittent failure of the thing. Finally tripped the code - P0335 - post #27. 2014 RT also. Was able to make it back home but they haven't returned to the forum to discuss the final resolution. Maybe you can PM him and see what happened there. The worst is that dealers are so busy this time of year that you've been out of commission for so long already.

It happened to my wife's 14 RTS and it was no big deal to get or replace. Took me about an hour to
remove the body panels and replace the sensor, it did take my dealer about 4 days to get one for me.
    Hope yours is that simple.
    Good luck,

Have a 2014 RTL, dealer replace my crankshaft sensor this morning and she is back up running. Hope I don't see that problem again and I'm glad I was close to home.

My RT left me stranded in Orlando, FL with that exact problem. There's no stranded like motorcycle stranded. I had to have it towed to a dealer for repair. Still waiting....
