Painted rear fender/mud flap

I found this picture on another site, and was wondering, is this something someone painted? Or is this something you can buy?

I painted mine to match also.

Not too difficult. Clean really really good, DO NOT SAND OR SCUFF, spray on some plastic adhesion promoter, color, and clear. Did mine with spray cans. Been over a year and its still holding up well. No paint peeling or chipping.

you can try the colorrite website. If yours is pearl white, there will also be a midcoat.

I checked the color-rite website and they do have pearl white. You will need Adhesion promoter, gray primer(if you skip this step it will be hard to get coverage with white over black plastic.), base, topcoat, and clear. Probably going to cost you $100 or more. Take your time if you do it. Prep is everything. Clean Clean Clean. I recommend buying the prep wipes on colorrite also $3.

Joel, nice job, I was wandering if anyone on this site had painted there's in the color. Since I have the painted dashboard.

ppg only offers it in water base, no solvent.

Not that bad for.the fear tender. Just have to be careful with the ride tabs

You will want to hot it with a scuff pad adhesion promoter. Primer then sand may have to reprised if you want to re.ove the texture. Then base midcoat and clear

Used ppg as have access to mixing system. But have also used colof.rite and it is fine

I have on both of my Congaic bikes. I had to have the color custom matched at an auto paint dealer. Then like Joe said, clean, clean and clean some more. then I used and adhesion promoter and primed the panel and sanded it until smooth, then used a sealer then color then clear. Looks awesome!
