My wife is the proud new owner of a 2012 RT S!!!!!! I rode it home and am amazed how nice it rides, tomorrow I'll ride it to work (50 miles round trip) and up to my house North of here
this weekend (200 miles round trip) through the mountains.

Here is everything they did to make it ready for sale. I know what some of it means but not all. I was glad to see the oil and filters, battery and coolant are all new I don't have to mess with them and can get down to learning to ride this thing!!!

Weird it's an RTS and yet there's no passenger speaker controls and the rear speakers don't do anything.

50 mile round trip to work, 75 mph on the way in and stop and go to 75 mph on the way home. My confidance is growing, I'm picking up the quirks of the machine.

Now to get past the "feels like it's going to throw me off" feeling making sharp turns. I upped the pre-load on the front shocks, by the owners manual I needed to click one up from factory (3). I'm 215 lbs.

Be sure to read this: http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/s...-Spyder-owners

In case it hasn't been mentioned yet, get a laser alignment and install Baja Ron's sway bar. That will go a long way to improve cornering.

Keep your feet on the pegs / boards when you are making sharp turns - press down and it holds you in a good position.

Pressing your knees together helps also I'm finding. My confidence today was the best yet, getting much better at cornering.

I also gassed up, went through the first tank of gas. 26.64 MPG.

Seems mine has had owner upgrades. The saddlebag badges show it to be an "S" but it's missing the "S" options like rear air ride control and rear speakers.
The original owner must have added the badges and fog lights. Lift the seat and it's clearly stated on the decal it's an A&C. I really don't care it's a great machine
    that I'm having fun with.

    Remember:
    1. to tuck the appropriate knee(depending on the direction of the turn) into the "tank"., and
    2. with 2 wheels in the front, you have to readjust how you enter the apex of the turn. Don't "shortcut" them.

Tore up the twisties today riding up North to Payson AZ. 80 mph where posted 45 mph and I've had the TR since Sunday, they really are a quick
bike to learn. Your suggestions works out perfectly I had so much fun today and the machine was very stable.

Yes she has and now she has a leaners permit so tomorrow we're going out and she'll be behind the bars. She asked me to ride it and learn it so I could better help her learn.
