New Belt Tensioner Part #
I apologize if this has been discussed before. I did a search and didn't come across anything. I never got around to getting the idler pulley for my belt when they first came out. I'm just now noticing the vibration starting as the miles accumulate on my 16 F3T. I went to find the part number I had written down back when they were first introduced and see that there is a new number that supersedes the prior one I had. It looks like the old number was 219800412 and the new number is 219800431. Is there any info or details about what was changed or updated? Thanks...

I compared the installation instructions between the 412 kit and the 431 kit. The 431 kit includes a torque specification chart for bolts, no part number for the idler pulley only, and comes with two new bolts to replace the OEM bolts. No data on any other improvements.

Thanks for the info!

I looked at it but for the money, I'll stay BRP. Is his better? I'm certain of it. Do I need better for this part and/or will I ever notice a difference? I bet I won't.

Doc's is intended to last you longer because the design is different. If you research in this forum you will find that a number of people have had to replace the BRP part because it fails. I am currently running the BRP part - purchased it before Doc's came out and I am fairly certain mine is done as the vibration is back after 5,000 miles on it.
I will have mine replaced with Doc's - first chance I get to drive over to his shop.

That's likely why BRP redesigned it? I'll give the new unit a try and report back if it fails...

At $100 more than the kit from Can-Am, do you think the Humphreys kit is worth it?
Edit:
Oops, I should have refreshed the thread before my post. I guess I am wondering if it's worth $100 more than the Can-Am version.

I've got the new BRP unit on my new F3L. 900 miles so far so good.
