Brakes Flashing
During a ride this past week-end with other Spyder ryders, i was told my brakes would flash every once in a while. My foot is no where close to the brake. We are just cruising down the highway. Anyone have a answer for this problem before I take to dealer service. Thanks

Have you installed the bigger brake pedal?

What year & make you got? May have a weak return spring & allows a bump to move pedal enough it activates the light switch, or a build up of road crud & needs cleaning, just a thought.

No I have the regular brake pedal.
Then you need to either replace the original spring; big pain, or add another light spring to help the weak original

I would think not for a fix, but if the bigger pad was was the issue I would say the extra weight of the bigger pad would possibly push down on the brake causing your light sensor to blink, especially if you hit a bump.
Then again I could be totally wrong, it has happened occasionally.

We had the same issue on our 14 RTL.
I fixed it by shaving down the rubber stop on the brake arm. This allowed the arm to move up as the thickness of the stop kept the break arm too close to activation so bumps would cause the activation of the break light.
An extra spring would also work, but the shave down was easy, free, and worked!

Isn't it weird that in AMERICA our flag and our culture offend so many people......
but our benefits don't?
