    Default My First Spyder

Last week I traded in my 2013 Victory Cross Country Tour for a new 2017 Spyder F3 Limited. I got a great deal as the salesman in the picture is also my Son.
It is definitely a different experience and so far I am happy with the move. It certainly is nice not having to put your feet down and balance a 900lb. motorcycle. I am sure I will learn a lot from you all as I did on the VOG website.

    Default Welcome to SpyderLovers, Dave

There are a lot of knowledgeable folks that enjoy the Spyders and are very helpful in getting comfortable with your new Ryde. Like the White Spydees!

Really like the F3-L congrats! I still love two wheels but there's something to be said about not having to worry about balancing a big bike at stops, especially with a passenger.

Hope the sales kid bought you lunch!

I did very much the same, Dave....from a Victory Vision to an 2016 F3-L. I do miss the Vision’s electronic screen, but I find the ride just as exhilarating, and no worries about that patch of gravel around the corner or the pothole in the middle of it....... and also no worries about pulling in for fuel after 2 hours and your bung knee not supporting the weight. I won’t be going back...

The crew on here are every bit a helpful as the VOG....probably even more so.....if you post a question on here, you will nearly always get a quick, informed answer ..... although you get get some bloody strange ones, too

3 weeks ago I traded a 2015 Ultra Limited Harley for an F3 Limited and also will not be going back for the same reasons already listed. One too many stops in gravel and having to turn around or having to back up. It is too easy to back up into my garage and then drive right out when leaving. I already have about 1k on the new bike and they were all smiles miles.

Default My story is the same as yours and so many others

We reach a point where if we’re smart we realize it’s a smart move to get on top of three wheels vs two for many reasons especially Safety. But then you soon realize after riding these machines that you wish you made the move sooner because they are so much fun and after you adjust to it they are every bit as fun as the two wheeler was ..!! Enjoy and welcome to the family .!

    Congratulations on your new Spyder.
Trust me, eventually you'll stop reaching for the front brake
There is definately a learning curve when coming to a Spyder from years of 2 wheels but it sure is a lot stressful in parking lots, sandy turns and 2 up etc etc etc.
There are a whole lot of helpful people on the forum who will try and help answer any questions you may have.
    Enjoy!!!!

I went from the Suzuki M109 R Limited to the 2016 F3 T , never looked back. Just wish I had more time to ride. I work about 75 hours a week and don't have the time to take a 200 mile ride like I use to.

I went from a 05 Goldwing to my 16 RTL last year and wish I had moved earlier. I absolutely love the ride, it is fun and exciting and my wife is far more comfortable on this then the wing. On another note, most people here so far have mentioned the ride features of balance and stability, I would add handling, performance and braking. My Spyder brakes better than anything I have ridden in my life. Enjoy the ride and Welcome. Chris

Congratulations on your new ryde. 8 years ago hopped of my Honda Shadow and climbed onto an RS ... then an RTS ... and now an F3L. I never looked back. Enjoy smiling with the passing of each mile.
