    Default Snap-N-Pops

What's poppin.... my bike.... Not sure why, but when turning my bike off after a ride it make a distinct popping noise for about 20 minutes or so. The sound is identical to those Snap-N-Pop fireworks that pop when throwing against the ground or at your friend. It sounds like it's coming from my pipes. Also, my frunk won't lock shut. When turning the key, the lock seems to set into it's place but it's a hoax. It can easily be lifted open... Any suggestions? Is this something that can be adjusted. Thanks in advance, you guys rock!

    Default Let's see...

When you shut off your spyder there is a rather long computer process for closing the throttle body that makes for sounds coming from your Ryde. More so after a long hot ryde. Have heard many different explanations for the sound. Now if new it can be the exhaust cooling and this will go away after the pipes have cured. As for the frunk... that is just some adjusting

It could be your exhaust cooling down. Just a thought. Bruce

My 15 RS does the same thing. I think it’s from exhaust pipes and muffler tingling from heat. Previous owner only put 700 miles on it in 3 years so pipe/muffler is new to heat.

If I remember correctly, I think that little part with spring that’s attached to opening mechanism was adjustable, more/less tension on the catch. But don’t quote me on it... I’m not in town to take a look.
